The nice TL250RII was biult by RSC, Racing Service Corporation. As the contemporary RS200T and RS220T where produced in a small quantities.
The TL200RII had a white painted fiver petrol tank, with a vertical transparent strip to see petrol level. Second productions were painted in red.

I have a bit of a mismatch 125 honda trail bike. it has and engine with numbers RS200TE 1292 in a 185 frame. it is in spain and I want to sell. But I dont know what size engine this is.
ReplyDeleteThe RS200TE 1292 number engine came from the RSC 1979 engine mounted on TL200RII and RS200T Honda frames.
ReplyDeleteThe Honda Trials engine numbers usually should be matching with frame number.
Your TL 125 was modified and now has a "super" RSC engine
Hi There, Great website!
ReplyDeleteI have recently seen a Honda Rs200 for sale in Japan and has Rs200TF as the first part of the VIN on the frame - and Rs200T on the engine (rather than TE). This doesnt seem to tie up with the parts manual. Is this still an original bike?
Are all RS200T engines designated TE?
Thanks.
I have just done a top end overhaul on the RS200 and replaced the valves which had lost their hardening. As I have said before although the engine number is for RS200TE it is a 125 engine as I have checked the bore and stroke. The only problem I have had with the engine are the splines slipping on the kickstart. The engine is for sale as I have bought a standard XL125 engine to put in my frame and I would like the engine to go to a bike that can make better use of it than me. My email for reply is artmar4@hotmail.com I am open to any offers on the engine. thanks stuart marshall
ReplyDeleteI have just put a blog on regarding my rs200te engine, the kickstart is slipping on the locating rachet not on the splines of the kickstart shaft. sorry!
